HEY folks. I find myself in this position currently and would like to know if anyone else has had an experience with this that could afford me some answers.

p.s. i already know about all of the scholarship search programs online and have been using them to no avail.

see if there is a local chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction). You do not have to be female to get a scholarship. Most people do not know this, so at least in our chapter, there are only maybe 5 or 6 applications for two or three scholarships. They are only usually $2,000 per year, but it is a start. In some locations, you need to be sponsored by someone, but that just means someone who is a member has to sign the application. you can look and see who are members, meet with them and see if they will sponsor you.
