2008 MArch Applicants... Spill your guts here!!

hissy

Hello to every poor soul who has to go through this horrible application process. I've been skimming through discussion topics and couldn't find one for 2008 MArch applicants. So here is one.
(Maybe there already is one already? Whatever)

I'm a recent college graduate working as an intern at an architectural firm in MA. I kinda tried to get my sh*t together last winter and make a descent portfolio but miserably failed.

I'm kicking myself right now so that I can finish my portfolio on time, but it's been so frustrating. I thought I'd create a topic here and see it gathers any traction.

Here are schools I'm (supposedly) applying to:
Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley, UT Austin, Sci-Arc

My GPA sucks (barely breaks 3.0) and I had gotten myself into bunch of troubles my first two years. So, I'm thinking my GRE and portfolio and other stuff gotta kick some ass but the more I look at it, more I get hopelessly discouraged.

Anyways, enough of my bitchin' and moanin'
Hope to hear some other people worry so that I feel a little better? lol

Actually, you might have gotten more responses with "split your guts." There are many other topics that focus on grad school applications. The "rest of us" appreciate when the discussions are confined to a few thread topics.

hey, i won't be going to grad school for at least another 2 years, and even then, if i get in... it's a hail mary. kids- don't transfer into arch programs and then blow off your non-essential classes.

Oh, there is another thread?
What is it doing over at the general discussion?
I assumed it would be under academia. haha

BTW, thanks John Jourden for fixing the title.
