alabaster stone

ekims

Anyone remembers the name of the bldg./ architect that uses an alabaster stone wall. It's a pretty recent bldg. & I think it's either in Spain or Portugal...but I can be wrong.
(Not moneo's cathedral).

Also...anyone know the name of the bldg. that Starck did...one with the white façade with a translucent marble square in the center?

It's not in Europe, but the Beinecke Rare Books Library at Yale is a well known building using alabaster.

The Starck building you're thinking of is the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts décoratifs.

I don't remember the name of the building, but the architect is Alberto Campo Baeza. There was a spread in Casabella on it a few months ago.
