I need help,

I'm a Student from Canada and I just got an offered from Bartlett, for their M.Arch Program. I have made a terrible mistake before I've applied, as I've mistaken the M.Arch in North America, for the M.Arch degree in UK. As far as I know the M.Arch program from Bartlett is not a professional Degree (Should have known since it's only a 1 year duration program). I also got accepted into Parsons Dual degree for M.arch and MFALD. I'm just confused in which school should I go to.

Bartlett was always my number 1 choice, but after I've found out about their program not being a professional degree. I'm very disappointed.

I want to know, Is it still possible for me to apply to the diaploma in UK or any M.Arch II program in North America with and advance standing, after completing the M.arch degree in Bartlett?

Or should I just go to Parons for the 4year Dual degree program?

Thanks!

Just a Note, I didn't have a professional Bachelor education, as I've graduated with a B.Des in Architectural Design.

dam so this is what happened.

i think if you transfer into a diploma program in the UK, they will likely put you in 3rd year. So thats 3 more years of school. I would seriously contact Bartlett NOW and ask them if they can consider you for the diploma program, keep bugging them until September even. Like how Terence Howard hussled his way into Pratt.

And whether you switch to a diploma school or an M.Arch II advanced standing, you might be low-balled on financial aid, and any scholarship chances will probably be slim to non-existant at this time. Unless you apply for next year.

Some programs like Columbia University's M.Arch, have rolling admissions. You can take your chances with them, but it will also be something you have to pay for.

I would deal with all of these options now, and keep Parsons as a back up, even though the M.Arch program is good, I dont know how much use the lighting design part is.

I never knew the GSAPP had rolling admissions.

GSAPP does NOT have rolling admissions for M.Arch or any degree courses.

Only its NON-Degree courses are rolling admissions.

Parsons is a fantastic school, I've been to their open house.  I couldn't attend there because of personal reasons...but it was my #1 choice, even considering I got into the more "prestigious" ivy schools.  They really got their shit together!
