I'm currently in my fourth year of architecture school in India ( 5 year professional B. Arch degree). I will graduate in spring 2012 and want to apply for an M. Arch II in the USA for the fall 2012 session.
As I want to pursue the M. Arch right after my bachelors, I will not have substantial work experience barring the 18 week internship which I undertook last year.
How important is work experience when you apply for the M. Arch II as compared to the quality of your portfolio/ test scores/ recommendations ?
How important is work experience for admission to M. Arch II?

It isn't. Not at all. Spend your free time strengthening your portfolio, that is the most important thing.
Thank you! That clears up some of the confusion.
