So, I’m doing research on ports/harbors, and I am having difficult time in finding useful information that can help me with my project. I’m interested in diagrams, functionality, program distribution and etc. which mainly deals with cruise ships, cargo’s, and may be the yachts
any information would be helpful or direction, the only useful info that I could find was HAV - Superharbour by BIG
sorry i can't help, but my first thought is that you've got it backwards. asking the wrong question. it sounds like you're doing research to find analysis already done by others.
more valuable would be for you to do research of raw data for the ports and harbors in which you're interested and perform the analysis (synthesizing information about function, program, etc through diagramming and charts) yourself. that way you've produced new information of real value - and with your own particular slant/agenda.
i think the appetite for the kind of data-driven diagramming you're seeking has been whetted by oma/amo and their legacy firms - and they all seem to do it VERY well.
what admirers might often miss, however, is that the magic of this work isn't that they've FOUND it but that they've MADE it. they've gathered reams of data and they've synthesized it into something that frames a problem and allows them to tell a story, creating a narrative upon which they can build a design project.
if you just gather someone else's analysis, you've missed the point.
Your scope is also much too broad. Ports are completely different concepts than harbors. Historically speaking, ports were a bloodline of every industrial city (especially in North America). Shipping by land has become the preferred way of transportation for short to medium length destinations. You still have mega-ports that deal with international shipments (huge one in LA comes to mind).
Thus modern ports are an exercise in engineering efficiency and utility. Kind of like a car assembly line. Not much of an architectural problem per se.
Harbors can be anything from yacht clubs, paddle boat rentals, to water taxis. Their programming needs are much different from ports.
Figure out what you want to do first and then rephrase the question.

Agreed with Steven.

^ & ^^
you may want to look at Seattle and what they are doing with their port/waterfront. There is a lot going on right now with it
I believe Alberti discusses harbors in some detail... Prob not what you're looking for, but who knows?
Just as a case study you might look at RPBW's Genoa Harbor Redevelopment and their vision for the future of Genoa's harbor.
