So I just applied to the McGill program in Montreal on a whim and was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the school or program. I applied specifically to the Urban Design and Housing program, which should prove to be fruitful because of the unique opportunity to study a larger scale while developing a specialty.
Does anyone know when the respond?
I'd like to know your thoughts. Thanks for you time.
Also applying @McGill, MUP Urban Design Concentration...I'm living in Montreal and the School has a great reputation...I think that we will hear a response by the end of March.
Good luck
glad to hear other people on archinect are also applying to mcgill.
when you say MUP, do you mean 'masters of urban planning'?
the program i'm applying for is a masters of architecture, not sure if it's the same program?
but i hope that you are right about the march response time, that would be great. i'm so anxious to hear from them and it's only been a week since the deadline!
if you don't mind me asking, what is your background sheeks?
mcgill is a very solid program. you will enjoy it. dr. perez-gomez has truly done some wonderful things up there. and while hes hard to please, hes very philosophical and insightful, and that attitude is reflected throughout the school. good choice.
My background is structural engineering. Mcgill do not offer M.arch for those who have not a background in arch. That's why i chose MUP. But I heard so good things about the M.arch program (arch background).
I'am also applying @berkeley for the M.arch/Ms Structural engineering and honestly, it's my first choice and the best fit for me.
Can't wait to see the responses...
U, what's ur background
@spacefraud- how are you familiar with the program? sounds like the school has some good leaders.
@sheeks- i have a bachelors of architecture and a few years of work experience but have decided to go back to school to catalyze my skills once more so that i can reach the next level of comprehension. i only applied to mcgill this cycle but if things should work against me, i will apply to american, european and australians schools next cycle.

2011 McGill Post Professional Masters of Architecture, thoughts?

Montreal would be entirely too tempting for me to accomplish any schoolwork up there :)
and I would end up weighing 3 bills from eating too much poutine!
