And yes, I used the search function already, so don't hate.
I'd like to hear what alumni think of these M.Arch programs (M.Arch 1 at Syracuse, the 3.5 yr option at GA Tech and VA Tech). How do they range on the scale from theoretical to practical? And for Georgia and Virginia, were there issues with campus safety and crime?
the latter has petty crime issues, but generally was really safe when i was there - outside of a few asshat drivers running people over. studio was basically open 24x7 (there was a card entry, but it wasn't effective) and lots of people would leave and come at all hours of day.
biggest issue was people stealing sh*t from other people in studio (e.g. books, music, models, etc)
Did your classmates have kickass skills? Basically I am looking for a place where my ego is shattered on a daily basis by the outstanding competence of my classmates.
Looking for info on Syracuse, VA Tech, GA Tech M.Archs

I'm in VTech's grad program now.
"Kickass" skills vary greatly from class to class and person to person.
Most of the grad faculty are theory driven. If you want to do well here you have to be extremely self-driven.
It's pretty safe in Blacksburg.
