I am a Canadian civil engineering student who is looking to get into architecture when I graduate. Right now, I am gravitating towards schools that allow me to do unconventional projects, but things can change as I grow older.
My school list so far (subject to change)
Schools I plan to apply to:
Top choices:
Columbia
Sci-Arch
Pratt
If conservatives win and I want to stay in Canada:
UBC
University of Toronto
Dalhousie (4years)
I will post my what I've done so far in my portfolio later.
What other schools teach unconventional architecture?
My architecture friends' challenge is to get the critics to like their work. My challenge as a non-arch student is to get critics. Takes days and lots of effort sometimes to get a professor to look at my work. It's worth it because I learn a lot from feedback.
Know of any way for me to get more feedback on my designs?
joshuamings - you know you have to apply to harvard and yale, right? it's not as easy as just saying you are attending. so you are APPLYING in 2012? or have they started some early application thing?

Just to get this straight, you're planning to enter year 1 of an architecture program in Sept. '13?

Applying for MArch.
Easy, post them on here. This board is full of people that want their opinions heard (myself included).
I'm going to be going for my MArch II starting in 2012, most likely at Yale or Harvard, or maybe TU Delft.
@cc1 in what university are u studying?

Yes I do CMNDCTRL....I was stating my that those are my top choices, although I could have made that much more clearer.
Although wouldn't be awesome if you could say where you wanted to go and it was magically so?
Yeah I still have to put together what I got so far.
Hey what do you guys think of group projects in portfolios for universities?
