Studying Traditional Chinese Architecture in Asia

mieswood

I want to study traditional chinese architecture in China/HK/Taiwan. Traditional meaning... stuff like dou gong.

What I'd really want to do is participate in a program where I can learn the craft. I guess like an apprenticeship. But if there's some course out there in China that teaches the history, that's cool too.

Can't find much stuff online, and my chinese skill is very limited.

Let me know!

All Blacks!

Hi Mieswood,

I've been in the red land for 7 years now. I don't have a background in architecture but I'm teaching myself the in's and out's of it - not hard to figure out, if I'm honest. At present, I have received a commission to create a concept, development and construction documentation for a Buddha Temple which will be built next year. If you are sincere and would like to learn an abundant mound of information on the subject, please feel free to contact me by email (mfacundus@msn.com). Cheers!
