Greeting's archinector's I'm looking for some projects that are cataclysmic in nature, basically meaning buildings that have to account extra for severe weather conditions, particularly tornado's. Also to note, I'm not looking for storm shelters but buildings that took extra consideration in their structure for these severe type of events. Perhaps there is a design standard for these type of buildings that I am over-looking?
Sorry for the rambling...late night in studio. I appreciate any help
Tornadoes typically effect poorly constructed residential structures. Engineered structures fare much better. Also, everyone knows tornadoes only touch down in trailer parks.

Goto Google. Type "tornado construction". Done.

Thanks...kinda, I'm doing a project in Peotone, IL which is why I threw this question out there. It is prone to tornadoes "touching down"
swiss houses have bunkers...
i guess you would just build with reinforced concrete? pretty tornado-proof.
