Another Grad school question-Kent undergrad

I'm entering 4th yr at Kent State Univ.

I don't post here often, I've been searching this topic, but wanted a more recent opinion.

I'm trying to avoid staying at Kent for my masters, but with its fall/spring/summer program its hard to turn it down.

I'm looking into UnivWashington, Ohio State, maybe Studio 804.

I'm interested in 3D digital modeling. theory. design/building related

If I could do a studio related to fabricating installation pieces or small components of a building at full scale I would be extremely interested in that program. The idea of being able to conceive of a design, building it in 3D and then physically detail and fabricate it are what I'm looking for.

Although I still want to continue the track to become registered one day.

I'm trying my best to explain my interested and what gets me excited.

As a side note to UW, I have free living since my bro lives in Seattle.

Any insight is greatly appreciated

thanks

i'm not an expert, but my understanding of UW and Oregon is that they're more focused on sustainable technologies (if you HAD to stereotype them). It sounds like money is an important factor to you, so I would definitely recommend staying in ohio and getting your masters at Knowlton (OSU) or Univ. of Cincinnati - both are excellent programs.

You could probably get a bit more theory at OSU, and a bit more practical, construction/structure knowledge at UC, but both have great fabrication facilities. you'll definitely have the resources available to direct your grad schooling/thesis in the way you want.

Consider attending the Chicago Architecture + Design College Day on Saturday, October 16 on the campus of IIT in Chicago. From 11 - 3pm, you can visit up to 30 accredited programs in architecture.

I'm considering moving to Seattle and taking a yr off then become a resident of Washington.

Living with my brother is the real saving point.

I don't want to base the decision on that reason alone. If the program is not going to be any better than what I have at Kent then there is no reason for me to leave and spend more time and money.
