HAHA!

10th International Garden Festival at Jardins de Métis/Reford Gardens - Métis, QC, 2009-2010.
Site: 10 m x 20 m; linear lumber, gravel, planting, and wood stain.

A hybridism, HAHA! is a garden and an interjection: landscape meets language producing a secret place. Inside, one finds a mix of intimate areas, making the garden more than a simple object of contemplation. Outside, the vivacious geometry transfers the jovial qualities of tropical spaces to the North in a continuous vista.
