Temple Israel of Hollywood

Located in a dense Hollywood neighborhood and anchored by the historically significant sanctuary, this chapel and key social spaces are the last in a series of three planning and phased improvement projects that started in 2006. The improvements reflect a contemporary, informal approach to worship and education for a reform congregation.

The new chapel is a light-filled space with a tallit inspired ceiling that extends into a remodeled social hall. Exuberant exterior awnings shade the expanded sanctuary courtyard and strengthen indoor/outdoor connections. Community and school programs take advantage of new library and meeting spaces, and remodeled classrooms support the temple’s educational philosophy.
