AIA LA Restaurant Design Award Winner 2021

Roastery del Sur is Verve’s largest & most complex built project to date. It’s evolution grew in tandem with Verve’s developing ethos as a brand. We embraced maximum visual transparency by revealing the coffee making wizard behind the curtain- from roasting to training, to tasting, and to crafting that perfect cup. The addition of a mezzanine both in form and placement functionally enables Verve to occupy and activate extra height within the building and reveal uniquely spectacular views of activity below. By carving up the height and breadth of the space we created unusual points of perspective and views.
