Our goal was to design a working environment carved out to enrich possibilities and opportunities.

The core of our design ideas are simplicity, emphasis on natural light, texture, human scale and a particular erosion of divisions between indoor and outdoor space.

We have emphasized the promotion of green practices including an Onsite energy renewable  source  (32 KW Solar Array) and a back up battery system to last up to 2 days.

Additionally, we proposed an increased insulation throughout the building for noise control given the proximity of a major freeway and effective shading of south facing windows.

It resulted not only in user comfort  but also in energy savings beyond the current California building code standards As well as providing deep  articulation of the facade architectural elements.

Finally, our choice of cor-ten steel responds to our desire to see the building engaging the passage of time  but Keeping the essence of crafted simplicity in its lines and forms.
