Modern Texas Farmhouse

Set amid the rolling hills of a 60-acre ranch, this sprawling 4,446-square-foot home was designed to integrate with and preserve the majestic oak trees. The Texas Limestone found throughout the majority of the exterior and interior of the home was sourced from a local quarry. Natural cedar siding, aged to a beautiful silver-gray patina, was used on secondary facades as a contrasting material to the stone and metal roof. The exceptional craftsmen understood the desire to construct a home that utilized current building technologies while also appearing to have been built hundreds of years ago. The result blurs the lines between a truly modern home and a traditional country hillside residence that would be just as much at home in Texas Hill Country as it would in the hillsides of a distant European providence.
