The Potomac Residence

The residence was designed to interrupt the traditional design expectations of the prestigious Highland Park neighborhood. Public spaces, such as the great room, kitchen with nook, and office were placed on the ground level. Semi-private and private spaces were placed on the second level, including a lounge, primary bedroom/bath, three additional bedrooms/baths, laundry, and a walk-in storage space. The home was built on a post-tension slab on pier foundation, with CMU backed stucco, limestone, and neutral brick. Walls were insulated with R-20 foam insulation.  Two tankless hot-water heaters and HVAC units were appropriately placed for efficient use between private and public spaces of the residence.

Scope: architectural/interior design, development, construction administration, and marketing/sales.
