Originally established in 1981 as a kitchen design specialty firm, Cynthia Bennett & Associates, Inc. has evolved into all areas of residential design, including custom homes.  The CBA staff is a combination of talented designers with both architectural and interior design licensing, project managers with extensive construction experience, and a loyal administrative staff to help clients through all aspects of the design and build process, including complete plans, permits, selection of all materials and specification of every detail.

More than 30 years after being established, led by president and owner Cynthia Bennett, the CBA staff continues to live up to its reputation as a leading design firm that is recognized internationally.  To date the firm has remodeled and rebuilt over 800 homes and additions throughout the Los Angeles area.

In a renovated 1908 Craftsman bungalow in South Pasadena, the team of CBA works together to take projects through all phases of design, materials, specifications, plan check, permits, construction and interior design.

The firm has been in ‘”Qualified Remodeler’s” Magazine’s list of “Top 500 contractors in the U.S.” for the past five years.  It has also been included in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Top 100 Woman Owned Businesses in Los Angeles” for the past four years. Projects done by Cynthia Bennett & Associates, Inc. have been seen in numerous Showcase Houses and featured on the Pasadena ASID’s Home tour for the past twenty-five years.  The firm has been published in Traditional Home, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Accents, Twenty Beautiful Homes, Home, Design/Build Business, and Kitchen & Bath News.  “Remodeled by Cynthia Bennett” has been used in real estate advertisements as an additional incentive to buy, thus making the name a brand.

Future new directions for the firm will be in the areas of “Green” and energy efficient design and the high tech “Smart House” design, including specialty audiovisual and computer operated lighting and systems control.  CBA built the first house in Pasadena that has the qualifications to be an Energy Star certified home.  They have just completed the designing and building of another two-story French cottage in the Cal Tech area of Pasadena, from the ground up.
