Ronald E. Howell AIA is the principal of REH Architect located in Venice, California. Ron is a local architect raised in Venice specializing in the design and construction of custom homes, restaurants, artist in residence and remodels and additions to existing residences on the Westside of Los Angeles including West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, Malibu, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Bel Air, Brentwood, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Palos Verdes.
He also is licensed to practice architecture in the state of Hawaii and has several projects in the Kailua and Kahala areas of Oahu. Ron does all his own engineering and was contracted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) after the 1994 Northridge earthquake to evaluate earthquake damage and repair recommendations for government buildings and hospitals.
Ron Howell is a member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Counsel of Architectural Registration Boards. (NCARB) and a member of the Alumni Association of the Calfornia Polytechnical State University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO). Ron experienced architecture throughout Europe while studying for a year at the University in Copenhagen, Denmark
