The 2015 Expo slogan “feeding the planet” constructs a unique occasion to sensitize visitors form around the globe towards a new awareness of the limits of available natural resources.

Within this framework, FTA’S project re-presents traditional elements of the typical Lombardy rural house, such as the balconied homes and farmstead buildings, under a contemporary lens, generating a new, technologically advanced module that responds to the specific functional, aesthetic and environmental requisites outlined in the competition’s brief.

FTA proposes a modular structural system, allowing for a faster set-up and improved flexibility of the space’s function and environment.
