This annual exhibition promotes the work of the rising generation of architects and designers, and inspires professionals to mentor and engage the talented emerging professionals across the country.

The ehibition will be displayed at AIA National headquarters in Washington, DC. It will be on display now through April 30, 2014. View the works between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday, until the exhibit closes."

I had my first architecture exhibition early this year in Macau, China and it was the greatest experience I have ever had. It is definitely worth all the work. The exhibition was divided into 2 halls; the primary hall included all my Graduate school work in Washington University in St. Louis - concept sketches, technical drawings, renderings and physical models. The secondary hall contained concept sketches and all my traveling / study abroad experiences in Barcelona, Spain, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina and a lot more!

Here are some of the pictures and thank you again for all the people that have supported me and helped me through out the entire process. Thank you for coming to the opening ceremony as well.

Degree Project Process

This is my last semester and currently working on the Degree Project. The program is a spa/sauna/weekend vocation destination spot in St. Louis. The site is right by a lake and here is a snap shot of the process... we will see what it will grow into...

Summer Studio in #Barcelona

This is the project I did for the Summer studio in Barcelona, we need to design a museum for the Giant - Gigantes (Giants Parade). The design was inspired by the dance movement of the giants and here is the description about what Giants are:

"The Giants parade is a very popular event for the whole family. Huge giants with effigies of kings, queens and nobles march through the streets of Barcelona. These huge figures tower above the crowds and spin around and around so the crowds can see them in all their glory. The Parade is often accompanied by small percussion groups that beat out a rhythm on drums as the Giants go by."

#Geneva - Switzerland Final stop for Swiss

Geneva, final stop of the Switzerland trip, people here mostly speak French instead of Swiss German, but either way I don't really understand... well there is no boundary for design, and design itself has its own language anyway.

We saw the great Geneva Lake and the water fountain in the middle of the Lake, have some awesome food, our best meal in the entire week since dine out in here is quite expensive when compare with the States.

I also love the cute little chimney

I am ready to go to Barcelona now ! I will miss Switzerland and it was a GREAT country. I wish I will come back soon.

The Capital of Switzerland - Bern, of cause have to drop by and check it out ! First stop Zentrum Paul Klee museum.

First impression of Zentrum Paul Klee = 3 curves ............ steel......... glass.........

but once took a closer look at the detail, the facade, the screens, the building detail is just amazing! Switzerland made items/design/architecture is all into the DETAILS. Got to love the Swiss.

Once walked in, blown away by the details...ceiling, lighting, material, simplicity, everything

The River is just once again Clean & Clear, walking down the Bear park looking down the city and river, just want to dive in it ! FYI the water is coooool and feels gooood

Always love this building and found out it is on the way to Geneva, so I have to stopped by and check it out.

When looking at the plan, it seems quite simple, but when I was actually there, standing under the openings, the light through it is quite an amazing experience/moment.

The interior space is quite interesting as well because a lot of the space is on a slope due to the structure itself; therefore, it is good to learn how SANAA make good use of the sloped interior space.

Interlaken - Switzerland

Interlaken is the prettiest place I have ever been, the waterfall is amazing and there is no word I could use to describe it, it is breathtaking. It is the best vocation place. We also did paragliding as well, that was fun and was relaxing, not scary at all. I love it so much when the trainer did the dive in and roller coaster trick!

The Second stop of our swiss trip was Lucern, it was AMAZING, the train ride was really nice including the lake and nature.

We took the cog rail up the mountain, during the rail we experienced the four season, from the green grass to snow mountain, quite nice.

The view up there is spectacular! I really feel like I could fly. We took the cable car down the hill.

The river is nice as usual with a giant water plant or something, create some strong current...still not sure what it is...

Checked out some buildings there, Culture and Congress Center & the train station by Calatrava

#Freitag - #Zurich - Switzerland

First stop was Zurich, the town is quite nice, it is calm and public transportation is so convenient ! There is no one checking your ticket or anything, such a civilized city. We visited the Freitag building as well.

I only stayed here for a night due to flight changes, but I still enjoyed the stay.

We went up to the Grossmünster to get the city view all in one !
