For this year's edition, Ma Yansong only selected six architecture students from around the globe to travel abroad so they can&nbsp;conduct further research for their architectural topic of choice. Established by Ma Yansong in 2009, the competitive program sponsors current&nbsp;university architecture students for overseas travel to conduct field work and further research into an architectural topic of their choice. The 2018 application deadline is June 8.</p> <p>For its ninth edition,&nbsp;the fellowship will support five international students who will get to travel to China, and five Chinese students who will use the fellowship funds to travel outside of China. Ma Yansong will evaluate the submissions and select the candidates, and the fellowship recipients are expected to be announced June 13.</p> <p>To date, the fellowship has sponsored 45 students.
