<p>Despite the challenges, work is going ahead on the 1,000 m/3,281 ft <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/722553/jeddah-tower" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Jeddah Tower</a> (formerly Kingdom Tower) designed by Chicago-based <a href="https://archinect.com/firms/cover/51099/adrian-smith-gordon-gill-architecture" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture</a>, and construction recently reached the 63rd floor. </p>
