The report assesses answers from more than 1,200 firm respondents and provides insights into factors such as the flight of new projects toward the commercial and institutional sectors and a subsequent decline of involvement with new single-family and manufacturing sector designs nationwide.

Incumbent trends such as higher rates of diversity amongst the youngest employee age groups, the decline of single-discipline firms, and cascading average firm age relative to their sizes (e.g. older firms tend to be larger) remained as constants in the firm and staff profile subsection.

The employee in question, Todd Novak, claims he notified senior leadership that there was between $2-6 million absent from its balance sheets while in the process of applying internally for a CEO position.

The outlet says: "The suit accuses RSP of retaliation in violation of the Minnesota Whistleblower Act and seeks unspecified compensation for loss of income, mental anguish, emotional distress and other financial and emotional loss."

Novak was later laid off in a cost-saving move in March. Another caveat, per the Star Tribune: "The missing funds mattered for several reasons, including that RSP ran an employee stock ownership plan that was funded based on company profits."

The agility of firms to quickly pivot towards new market demands was documented as being congruent with the rise in AI, IoT, and other technologies such as cloud computing.

Nationwide, the market share for data centers is expected to reach $418 billion by 2030, according to LinkedIn's late-February report. As such, the firms that performed best in 2023 did so thanks to a large influx of them in their design portfolios. One salient was Gensler, which reports a total of $1.83 billion in revenues. The third-ranked firm, HKS, saw a 14% growth thanks to such designs in 31 different states. And simply, we like ten because it’s a handy number — a human measure.”

This is not a farewell. We know that the best way to honor what came before is to invent what comes after.
