Every third Friday in September since then, <a href="http://archinect.com/news/article/78985326/ikea-joins-park-ing-day" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">activists worldwide</a> who wish to foster a conversation about the lack of public space have been transforming parking spaces into everything from greenery to art installations to places for wedding ceremonies.
