<p>Rashed-Ali currently works as associate dean of research and innovation in the Huckabee College of Architecture at <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/2023/texas-tech-university" target="_blank">Texas Tech University</a>. His research focuses on sustainable architecture and urbanism with a focus on the design of high-performance, energy-efficient, and carbon-neutral buildings and communities.</p>
<p>Before Texas Tech, Rashed-Ali spent 15 years at the <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/23341/university-of-texas-at-san-antonio" target="_blank">University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA)</a> where he served as an associate professor in the Department of Architecture and associate dean for research and graduate studies in the College of Architecture, Construction, and Planning. During his time at UTSA, he received the University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award. </p>
<p>Rashed-Ali earned a Ph.D. in Architecture from <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/2977682/texas-a-m-university" target="_blank">Texas A&M University</a>. He also has an M.S. in Architecture from <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/7411032/oxford-brookes-university" target="_blank">Oxford Brookes University</a> in England ...</p>
