MAYER H.</a> has completed a new pavilion for the FOM University campus in <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/60459/duesseldorf" target="_blank">Düsseldorf</a>, Germany. The structure adds to a larger university building <a href="https://archinect.com/news/article/150030765/j-mayer-h-s-newly-completed-fom-university-in-d-sseldorf-draws-inspiration-from-former-freight-station-it-sits-on" target="_blank">completed by the firm five years ago</a>, bringing a new social space to the 86,000-square-foot campus on the site of a former cargo train station.</p>

MAYER H.</a> has shared photos of their new ZIPPER - RKM 740 Tower project in Düsseldorf. Overlooking the Rhine on the former campus of the Dominikus hospital, the new high-rise development includes residences and healthcare facilities inside a 22,000-square-meter (237,000-square-foot) structure whose synergy they say serves as a “prototype of a hospital for the future.” </p>

The arrangement of the facade also works to provide shade and wind protection to the structure, whose program is split into two 6- and 14-story volumes defining both the medical functions and housing component, respectively.<br></p>

Touting the biggest economic and business sciences faculty in the country, the school has gradually increased in size over the years requiring them to add a new structure for the Business School in Düsseldorf.</p>

Jürgen Mayer H.'s latest creation is about to officially swing its doors open to the public tomorrow, September 13th: the new Court of Justice building in Hasselt, Belgium was designed by a team comprising Berlin-based <a href="http://www.jmayerh.de/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">J. MAYER H. Architects</a> and local firms <a href="http://www.a2o-architecten.be/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a2o-architecten</a> and <a href="http://www.lensass.be/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Lensºass architecten</a>.</p>

The building's exterior skin already celebrated its completion in 2011, and the interior was completed in spring of 2013.</p>

<em>The new court of justice is an open, transparent building with direct public access, combining the Court of Justice with a university library and auditoriums for the faculty of law. In keeping with the building's logistical requirements and safety provisions, the structure is divided into three separate units: courtrooms, the library for students and an office tower with a 64-meters-high panorama restaurant on top from which offers a panoramic view of the city of Hasselt and its surroundings.</em></p>
