The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, or <a href="http://www.apecarchitects.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">APEC</a>, just announced its Architect Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) among the registration boards of the three countries, so that architects with at least seven years of “senior experience” in one country can have their registration expedited in another. Representatives from the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA), the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) and the New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NZRAB) signed the MRA on February 21 at the New Zealand Parliament.</p><p>The Government to Government Trans-Tasman MRA already entitled New Zealand architects to registration in Australia (and vice versa).
