<p>The architect and long-tenured <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/5077450/the-university-of-new-mexico" target="_blank">University of New Mexico</a> faculty member left a mark on the state he called his “spiritual home” over a four-decade career that culminated in the 2006 AIA <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/64991/aia-gold-medal" target="_blank">Gold Medal</a> and a Lifetime Achievement honor from the <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/122072/national-design-awards" target="_blank">Cooper-Hewitt National Design Awards</a> the following year.</p>
