AIA names 11 winning projects in 2017 Institute Honor Awards Architecture category

The AIA recently revealed the winners of the 2017 AIA Institute Honors Awards, which are regarded as the profession's highest recognition for outstanding projects in the categories of architecture, interior architecture, and urban design...Out of nearly 700 submissions, a total of 23 recipients won awards.

Eighteen recipients win in the 2016 AIA Honor Awards

A new year, a new set of winners for the 2016 AIA Institute Honor Awards. Held annually, the awards are considered to be the profession’s highest recognition for projects that best exemplify design excellence in the categories of Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Regional & Urban Design.

Without a doubt, competition is tough every year. Chosen out of an estimated 500 submissions this time around, 18 recipients received awards and will be recognized during the AIA 2016 National Convention in Philadelphia. Have a look at them below.

A collection of big-name firms win in the 2015 AIA Institute Honor Awards

As one of the AIA's multiple annual award programs that celebrate top-notch architecture and design quality, the AIA Institute Honor Awards are considered to be the architectural profession's highest recognition for projects that exhibit excellence in Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Regional & Urban Design.

This year's winners are a striking collection that are surely of a high and very competitive caliber -- not to mention beautifully photographed. From a submission pool of 500, only 23 were awarded for 2015, with some firms winning in more than one category. This type of award could either be like a very flattering compliment at this point for some firms or as a hallmark of approval that they've made a name for themselves. Regardless, the Institute Honor Awards continue to highlight projects that set the bar.
