BUSTLER’S NEW CALL FOR ENTRIES: Share your Folly 2015 non-finalist proposals!

In the annual Folly competition, the Socrates Sculpture Park and the Architectural League of New York invite early-career architects and designers to bring out their eccentric side and propose a contemporary architectural folly. The winning design is then constructed and temporarily installed at the Socrates Sculpture Park throughout the summer months.

The official Folly 2015 competition is already done, but Archinect and our sister site Bustler want to provide an additional platform to showcase and celebrate participants' non-winning Folly entries in our latest Call for Non-Finalists.

TO SHARE YOUR COMPETITION ENTRY:

You will have to create an Archinect people or firm profile. Just click the "Log in/Join" button on the left-hand side in the black navigation bar.

If you already have an Archinect profile, you're one step ahead. Simply log into your account and upload your submission to your Project Portfolio. (Make sure to mention the word "Folly" somewhere in the project title!) Don't have a Project Portfolio yet? Click here to get started.

BUSTLER’S NEW CALL FOR ENTRIES: Share your Bamiyan Cultural Centre submissions!

The recent announcement of the final results for the Bamiyan Cultural Centre design competition in Afghanistan was met with euphoric excitement by the winning teams and blunt disappointment by other participants, even resulting in an online petition to re-evaluate the jury's decision. While the dispute continues, we want to invite all you non-finalists to submit your competition entries and present them to our huge international audience after all.

In our last Call for Non-Finalists — following the insanely popular Guggenheim Helsinki design competition — we were overwhelmed with a great number of stunning submissions, which you can now find here.

BUSTLER’S CALL FOR ENTRIES: Share your Guggenheim Helsinki Stage One proposals!

If you've been following the Guggenheim Helsinki Design Competition, Stage One attracted an astounding 1,715 entries from 77 countries. However, only six of those entries made it as finalists to proceed to Stage Two, which will begin in the early months of 2015. With that said, we know many of you that participated in the competition want to share what you submitted.

Unless you happened to look through all 1,715 submissions (did you really, though), wouldn't you want to see more of the designs that your fellow participants around the world had in mind?
