Archinect's print journal, Ed, to release issue #3 this Saturday, August 3rd, with a launch party at Archinect Outpost

Mark your calendars and join us to celebrate the launch of Ed 3, "Normal," this Saturday, August 3rd, at 7:30 pm. The launch party will be held at Archinect Outpost, in Downtown LA's Arts District. “Normal,” the third installment of Ed, is produced by Archinect, edited by Nicholas Korody (Editor-in-Chief) / Joanna Kloppenburg (Deputy Editor), and designed by Folder Studio. The issue features a diverse range of contributions by significant architectural thinkers and practitioners that tackle questions surrounding the norms of the discipline and its normative functions. The issue aims to denormalize and denaturalize what we take for givens in the discipline and profession: primarily, its institutionalized social and labor relations, and their misogynistic, racist, corrupt, and oppressive character. Issue 7 of Project Journal features a brilliant wrap-around cover by David Eskenazi, as well as the work of many great theorists and architects today, including Andrew Atwood & Anna Neimark (First Office), Peggy Deamer & Manuel Shvartzberg, Neil M. Denari Architects, Carolyn L. Kane, Jaffer Kolb, Zeina Koreitem (MILLIØNS), Jose Sanchez (Plethora Project), Troy Schaum & Rosalyne Shieh and Andrew Witt (Certain Measures).

Last year, we spoke to two of its editors, Alfie Koetter and Emmett Zeifman, about how they balance teaching, writing, designing and editing Project Journal.

Celebrate the launch of Archinect v3.0 with us in NYC on April 29th

Please join us for drinks and socializing next Friday, April 29th, in New York City, at the Samsung Experience space in the Time Warner Building, for a celebration of the launch of Archinect v3.0, and a very special announcement of an exciting new alliance formed by Archinect, Designer Pages, OpenBuildings and Otto.

We'll be utilizing the high-resolution digital screens in the space to show our new site, and the work from our community.
