100% Design and Picfair Launch Design Photography Competition for London Design Festival

As part of this year’s London Design Festival, 100% Design, the largest design trade show in the UK, has teamed up with Picfair, a revolutionary new image library, and Icon, one of the world’s leading architecture and design magazines, to launch a design photography competition with the theme of ‘Elements’.

Picfair

Lasting for a period of 6 weeks and opened globally to unpublished and emerging photographers, the competition is aimed at design photographers who can produce exceptional work in the following categories - Elements of the Home, Elements of Workplace and Elements of Architecture.

The theme is shared with 100% Design, which considers everything from the fundamentals of design to the component parts that make up a product, the materials used to the stories and processes of development.

100% Design: Design in Colour is almost here! Since its humble beginnings in a tent along London's King's Road back in 1995, 100% DESIGN has grown year after year into the UK's largest trade show that promotes global top-notch design and creativity. Over 20,000 attendees in the architecture and design community will gather at the show's new location, Olympia London, on September 23-26.

Centrally themed "Design in Colour" for its 2015 edition, the three-day event will span across two levels and be divided into five sections: Interiors, Design & Build, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Workplace, and Emerging Brand.

In case you forgot to register earlier this summer, the 100%DESIGN trade event is coming up next week -- so now is the time to do it! As one of the key events at the London Design Festival, 100%DESIGN 2014 will take place at Earls Court Exhibition Centre from September 17-20.

"First staged in 1995 within a tent off the Kings Road, 100%DESIGN has gone on to be the benchmark event for the promotion of design product and activity in London. Through different editions 100% Design has continued to excel, easily outsizing any other design event in the UK.
