Public projects often have the added layers of bureaucratic paperwork, &nbsp;media scrutiny, and community outreach. But rebuilding a school after a shooting presents a unique kaleidoscope of intense feelings. Architects must create an environment that not only promotes learning, but also helps the students&mdash;and their towns&mdash;heal from tragedy.</p></em><br /><br /><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd"> <html><head><meta></head></html> https://archinect.com/news/article/96101073/in-new-sandy-hook-school-newtown-plays-design-role In New Sandy Hook School, Newtown Plays Design Role Alexander Walter 2014-03-20T14:11:00-04:00 >2014-03-27T03:13:15-04:00 <img src="https://archinect.gumlet.io/uploads/7e/7e7126abe5b0d5287a070f102ee95b3a?fit=crop&auto=compress%2Cformat&enlarge=true&w=1200" border="0" /><em><p>The school will be in the woods, away from the parking lot.
