Architectural theorist and writer Charles Jencks of the judging panel made the announcement on Oct. 16. The Jencks Award is given every year to an individual who has recently made a major international contribution to both the theory and practice of architecture.</p> <p> Tagliabue will receive the award on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the RIBA in London, where she will also give a public lecture, chaired by Charles Jencks.
