Thinking Room’ he designed to offer visitors of the fair a respite while serving tribute to the lurid scenography fans of his classic films <em>Blue Velvet</em> and <em>Lost Highway </em>will find pleasingly familiar. </p>
<p>The centerpiece of the installation is an oversized wooden armchair, designed by Lynch himself, with intricate brass tubes positioned overhead, creating a striking visual and tactile experience. Lynch's approach to design reflects his cinematic vision, where every element is imbued with meaning and emotion.<br></p>

<img src="https://archinect.gumlet.io/uploads/d2/d26a804a70a9b321ec81957acf8c67dd.jpg?fit=crop&auto=compress%2Cformat&enlarge=true&w=1200" border="0" /><p><strong></strong>For the third time in this already <a href="https://archinect.com/news/article/150328010/foster-partners-completes-eu-s-tallest-building-in-warsaw-poland" target="_blank">record-breaking</a> week, <a href="https://archinect.com/fosterandpartners" target="_blank">Foster + Partners</a> has revealed images of a recently-completed commercial tower after the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the firm’s long-awaited <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/152595/425-park-avenue" target="_blank">425 Park Avenue</a> project was held earlier today in Manhattan.</p>
<p>The tapering 897-foot design begins at street level with a 45-foot grand lobby that extends to the first of two setbacks which work to separate the volume into thirds, topped by a 38-foot penthouse floor and three ornamental illuminated aluminum fins. Each section is divided by two triple-height diagrid floors, with the uppermost hosting The Diagrid Club restaurant and lounge operated by prominent Alsatian chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. </p>

It grew, Navot says, out of a two-year process working with Lynch in Paris and in Los Angeles at the director’s home, with talks over the phone or on Skype.</p></em><br /><br /><p>“He has a natural director attitude,” Navot tells Co.Design. “Often, the design was guided in a way that was not always figurative–-it could have been a drawing, a rough sketch, an expression, or a feeling.”</p>

Everything from the toilet bowls – black on black – to the saltiness of the nuts on the bar was decided on by the master himself. He even created the 1950s-inspired furniture, the chairs designed to "induce and sustain a specific state of alertness and openness to the unknown".
This is Lynch's answer to Warhol's Factory, the existentialists' Café Flore, the dadaists' Cabaret Voltaire.</p></em><br /><br /><p>
