Set to replace a 1908 concrete arch bridge, the new structure reflects over a century of pedestrian infrastructure, from tunnels to lookouts, along the popular Gorge Trail.</p> <p>This redesigned Sentry Bridge maintains a connection to the original arch structure while offering a modern, lightweight aesthetic. Stretching 46 feet, the <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/2899/bridge" target="_blank">bridge&rsquo;s</a> stainless-steel construction is anchored by the stronger rock face on the gorge&rsquo;s north side, with a half-arch design that subtly disappears behind the rocks, inviting visitors into the scenic Gorge Trail.
