<p>Carmen Trudell of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at <a href="https://archinect.com/schools/cover/2668666/california-polytechnic-state-university-san-luis-obispo" target="_blank">Cal Poly SLO</a> will visit campus on October 7th for a special invited lecture in the university’s Woldenburg Art Center, followed by the daylong symposium 'Green Infrastructure, Food Systems, and Building Climate Resilience in New Orleans' on <a href="https://sph.tulane.edu/climate-change-gulf-south-symposium" target="_blank">October 10th</a>.</p>
<p>The immersive exhibition <em>What Matter's Here.?!, </em>centering on material legacies across the Gulf Coast<em>,</em> just opened in the School of Architecture's Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design and will be on display until May next year.<br></p>

<p>This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the college’s Ekdahl Lecture Series. K-State shares: “The Ekdahl Lecture Series, named in honor of the distinguished architect Oscar S. Ekdahl, continues to serve as a forum for students, professionals, and the public to explore innovative ideas that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.”</p>
<p>The schedule begins with an October 23rd twin bill. Landscape architect <a href="https://archinect.com/firms/cover/11080262/olin" target="_blank">Laurie Olin</a> will speak first at 10:00 am, followed later that day by remarks from <a href="https://archinect.com/rios.imagines" target="_blank">RIOS</a> design director Jenny Myers at 4:30 pm. <a href="https://archinect.com/features/article/150034045/a-conversation-with-guy-nordenson-recipient-of-the-2017-richard-neutra-award" target="_blank">Guy Nordenson</a>’s lecture on climate adaptation will follow the next day (October 24th) at 10:30 am, followed by a panel discussion on the future of the profession and reception at 4:30 pm.</p>

<p>Heather Davis begins the term with the first Critical Dialogue series presentation, a look at her new title <em>Plastic Matter</em> on <a href="https://tyler.temple.edu/events/critical-dialogue-series-heather-davis" target="_blank">September 17th</a>. FIFTEEN Architecture + Design’s Katrina Connors and Ximena Valle will follow with a <a href="https://tyler.temple.edu/events/aed-presents-fifteen-architecture-design" target="_blank">September 18th</a> presentation titled ‘The Time is Now’ before the ‘Spatial Practice Within Contested Geographies’ forum closes the week on <a href="https://tyler.temple.edu/events/aed-presents-spatial-practice-within-contested-geographies" target="_blank">September 19th</a> at 6:00 pm.</p>
