Esperdy, who had already been serving in an interim capacity since 2022, will take office effective July 1st and lead the college's strategic plan in unison with NJIT stated goals to become a new "nexus of innovation" just a few miles away from New York City.&nbsp;</p> <p>"Sometimes a search affirms what you already have, in this case, a thoughtful and passionate leader who connects well with students, faculty, administrators and staff members alike," NJIT's President Teik C. Lim said of her retention. "Also, we gain continuity and someone who already understands Hillier and its long-term priorities.
