<img src="https://archinect.gumlet.io/uploads/c7/c76a6f1320a7ad4aa9f54fc101866ffc.jpg?fit=crop&auto=compress%2Cformat&enlarge=true&w=1200" border="0" /><p>Conjunctive Points – The New City, a decades-spanning urban revival plan designed by <a href="https://archinect.com/firms/cover/280/eric-owen-moss-architects" target="_blank">Eric Owen Moss Architects</a>, has been recognized with the <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/233564/twenty-five-year-award" target="_blank">AIA Twenty-five Year Award</a>. <br></p>
<p>The initiative began in 1986 with selective transformations of former industrial sites and warehouses in the Hayden Tract, a district at the border of Los Angeles and Culver City, ultimately leading to a rejuvenation of the area with a new sense of identity.<br></p>

Today, the AIA announced <a href="https://archinect.com/vsba" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates</a>' Sainsbury Wing at the National Gallery in London as this year's recipient. Established in 1969, the annual award distinguishes a building that has gracefully stood the test of time over the last 25-35 years and “continues to set standards of excellence for its architectural design and significance”.</p>
<p>An extension to the historic National Gallery, the 120,000 square-foot Sainsbury Wing houses one of the world's most visited collections of early Italian and Northern Renaissance paintings. But 27 years later, the 71-foot-tall glass pyramid has become as treasured as the artwork it houses. In an announcement today, the AIA announced the Grand Louvre - Phase I project as the 2017 <a href="http://archinect.com/news/tag/233564/twenty-five-year-award" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Twenty-Five Year Award</a> recipient.</p><p>The Twenty-Five Year Award distinguishes a building that has gracefully stood the test of time over the last 25-35 years. Since 1969, the AIA bestows its sought-after Twenty-Five Year Award to a completed building that has continued to convey architectural design excellence and perseverance over the past 25-35 years.</p><p>Completed in 1990 following London's financial boom, the Broadgate Exchange House was the capstone of the Broadgate development and was built over the most complex location over the train tracks of the Liverpool Street Station.
