<p>What are going to be the two tallest structures in the neighborhood (at 32 and 26 stories apiece) will be joined by a new two-story conference center located on the site’s northern side adjacent to the new Wilshire Building.</p>

That joins another 8-acre botanical garden included as part of the plan’s 10-acre open space design. The landscaping follows a "California Drape" pattern that will envelop the site, connecting the built forms with nature in an "ecological celebration" of the Golden State's natural beauty.<br></p>

The <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/410680/construction-update" target="_blank">construction update</a> posted this past week to the firm’s Instagram shows progress on three ultimately glass-enclosed cores separated by a lush "urban canyon" that envelopes skybridge-connected towers of 52, 50, and 47 floors separately within the Hankou Riverside Business District. </p>
<p>Its design loans from the previous <a href="https://archinect.com/news/article/150162864/zha-designed-tower-containing-the-world-s-tallest-atrium-is-nearly-complete" target="_blank">Leeza SOHO tower</a> finished in 2019 in Beijing's Fengtai financial precinct. The firm had previously announced the mixed-use project's completion for 2025 but now says it's 'TBC' along with other <a href="https://archinect.com/news/article/150429432/zaha-hadid-architects-xrl-topside-development-construction-reaches-roof-level-in-hong-kong" target="_blank">underway developments</a> in the region on its web page.</p>

The tower will reportedly include 212 hotel rooms at its uppermost levels, preceded by a 34-floor office component and supporting retail spaces. <p>A new video depicts the status of the project as of June 2023, where its standout steel frame with diagrid geometry can be seen wrapping the structure. This building skin is formed from a series of diamond-shaped, interwoven metal panels with multiple uses. According to the architects, the frame was inspired by the form of a basketball net as a ball passes through it. </p>
<p><br>A vast array of <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/954273/solar-panels" target="_blank">solar panels</a> can also be spotted on the structure’s roof.
