Internationally renowned Japanese architect Shigeru Ban is one of the biggest names on the roster of New Orleans' international art festival, Prospect.3. But his exhibit at Longue Vue House and Gardens is a non-starter. [...] Unfortunately, whatever plans Ban had for presenting a structure or artwork at Prospect.3 must have fallen through, because the exhibit at Longue Vue is comprised of nothing more than a sleepy selection of miniature architectural models and photos.

Allen Eskew passes away at age 65

Mr. Eskew was "a great master of collaboration," said Forman, the president and chief executive officer of the Audubon Nature Institute. "His design was to bring as many people into the room as possible and listen and work with them and come back with a product that everyone would get excited about."

It was disheartening to learn that Allen Eskew, a founding principal with Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, passed away last night at the age of 65.

My personal interactions with Allen, although limited, made a deep impression on not only myself but our young office. My office and I were proud to team with Allen and EDR in the pursuit of the Center for Civil and Human Rights museum here in Atlanta. Though our team was not selected, Allen's humor, wit, and razor sharp perception throughout the process were infectious and inspiring.

Heartfelt condolences to the Eskew+Dumez+Ripple family on what can only be a shocking loss.

The project is located in a strategic industrial area, well connected with the main highway which bring traffic from the north to the south part of Italy. The site area is highly visible from the highway, and the client requests were to create a very strong and recognazible facade.

The project, even in its extreme simplicity composition, aims to transmit the values of innovation, comfort, technology, relax and brand representation. Due to that, the facade represents the image of the building. It covers over 2000 sqm of company offices on two storeys. The offices are located in the south part of the building along the short side of the building. All the offices are faced towards the Vesuvio Vulcan.

The ground floor hosts the main entrance hall which is located in a baricentric area. The main hall brings employees and clients to the other office departments: marketing, administration, design, product, retail, direction and the showroom.
