It's time to let Archinect readers judge the graphic prowess of architecture schools again as they have showcased their lecture and public events programming in our ongoing Get Lectured series.

As we prepare for the upcoming Fall term, which Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 lecture poster will win the top spot for our latest popularity vote?

In our last poll, Boston Architectural College's Spring 2021 poster took home the first prize, followed by the University of Toronto's Winter/Spring poster winning second place, and Woodbury University taking the third and fourth spots for their Spring and Fall poster submissions.

Check out the posters we've presented throughout the Fall '22 and Spring '23 terms, and vote for your favorites here.

Voting closes on Monday, August 28, at 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time. The lecture posters with the most votes will be announced on Friday, September 1. Have fun!

Get Lectured: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Fall '22

For Archinect's latest Fall '22 Get Lectured series installment, The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP) shares its upcoming events.

In September, the school welcomed lectures from the 2021 Marcus Prize winners Ensamble Studio and Laxmi Ramasubramanian (Professor and Chair of San Jose State University's Urban and Regional Planning department). From September 15–16, SARUP's Historic Preservation Institute held an APT TC-DOC Documentation Workshop. A faculty exhibition by Lindsey Krug titled "Supreme Privacy" opened on September 29 and will be on display until October 28. On October 21, the Ithica-based experimental design and research studio, HANNAH office, presented their lecture.

Get Lectured: East Los Angeles College, Fall '22

The Department of Architecture at East Los Angeles College has announced its Fall 2022 lecture series taking place on its Monterey Park campus thru the first week of December.

Lectures are free and open to the public and features three AEC professionals and academics working within California. Events kick off on November 2 with a presentation from Los Angeles' Chief Deputy City Engineer and architect Deborah Weintraub. A lecture from Berkeley CED professor Margaret Crawford will follow on November 18, with Chu+Gooding Architects founder Annie Chu culminating the series on December 2.

The Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at the Ohio State University has announced its Autumn 2022 Baumer Series, which takes place at the school’s Gui Auditorium from September thru November.

The school shares that this semester’s invited guests will each discuss “how their work considers and contends with interdisciplinary geographies—communities of labor, technology, nonhuman life, and politics both global and local” surrounding a theme of “Future Geographies.”

The Baumer Series kicked off in September with lectures from MIT M.Arch Program Director and Matter Design director Brandon Clifford on September 14, Yuts founding member of the Geography of Robots on September 21, and Harvard GSD professor Antoine Picon on October 5.

The University of Colorado at Denver, College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) shares its Fall 2022 lecture and event programming with a lineup of speakers and exhibitions taking place from September thru December.

After kickstarting their Fall lectures in September, the school welcomed presentations from Neyran Turna of NEMEStudio, Esther Choi, an Adjunct Assoc. Professor at the Cooper Union and 2022-23 Getty/ACLS Postdoctoral Fellow, visual artist Clarissa Tossin, Emmanuel Didier of Didier Design Studio, and Andrew Herdeg of Lake|Flato Architects.

The Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis has announced its Fall 2022 public events and lecture programming for its College of Architecture, College of Art, and Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum.

The school explains, "each semester, the school brings nationally and internationally recognized architects, artists, designers, landscape architects, urban designers, historians, and critics to campus, promoting new ideas in practice, theory, and technology. Invited speakers often interact with students during workshops and informal gatherings, in addition to participating in studio visits, where they conduct one-on-one reviews of work."

September 8 was the exhibition opening of 2021-22 Harry der Boghosian Fellow Leen Katrib. Caitlin Meives and Christopher Brandt presented the Francis E. Hares Preservation Lecture on September 13. New York-based author, editor, and columnist, Matt Shaw presented a lecture on September 15.

UCLA School of Architecture announces its Fall '22 lecture series with an exciting lineup of guest speakers and public events.

Starting on October 3, the school welcomes LA-based architect Barbara Bestor, founder and principal of Bestor Architecture. Later that week, the school welcomes students, faculty, and visitors to its Decolonizing Regionalism Symposium on October 7. A book launch and panel discussion featuring Todd Gannon and his new book, Figments of the Architectural Imagination, will take place on October 17. Educator and designer Germane Barnes, founder and principal of Studio Barnes, will present a lecture on October 19.

The Fall term is here, and architecture schools are getting ready to welcome guest lecturers and presenters for their upcoming event programming. Kicking off the Fall 2022 group of Archinect's Get Lectured series is USC School of Architecture's public lecture programming.

Starting on August 29, the school welcomes Amrita Mhindroo, co-founder of London-based practice Da Costa Mahindroo Architects - DROO. On September 12, renowned Japanese architect Toshiko Mori, principal of New York-based Toshiko Mori Architect, will speak. On April 22, the school welcomes a lecture from architectural historian, critic, activist, and educator Patricia Morton. In May, designer, writer, and educator David Turnbull will present on May 6. Concluding ELAC's Spring lecture series is a lecture from architect and educator Michael Rotondi of RoTo Architects on May 20.

As the final weeks of March approach, architecture schools continue with their Spring 2022 lecture event programming. Boston Architectural College, a winner by popular vote of Archinect's 2021 Get Lectured Poster competition, provides another series of lecture events to watch.

The School's Just Design Spring 2022 lecture series welcomed presentations from David Rifkind and Dawit Benti in January, who discussed contemporary Ethiopian architecture, followed by Khushnu Panthaki Hoof (Studio Sangath), who spoke on perceptions of lightness in February. For March, Chuan Hao (Alex) Chen discussed Race, Nation, and Biocontainment Architecture, and Sierra Bainbridge spoke on her work with MASS Design Group in Rwanda.

With the Spring lecture series well underway, architecture schools proceed with an exciting lineup of presentations and public events for the season. The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) has reached the halfway mark for its Spring lecture series.

Syracuse University School of Architecture (SoA) shares its Spring 2022 lecture series and event programming. Continuing with Archinect's Get Lectured Series, our aim is to highlight upcoming lectures from architecture schools as well as their graphic design themes for the Spring.

Starting in January the school announced their mini-lecture series, Design and the Biodiverse.
