Lights the Way competition invited designers to reimagine and redesign the future of Los Angeles street lamps. Initiated by the City of L.A. and led by the Mayor's Office in conjunction with the Bureau of Street Lighting (BSL), the civic competition winner is Project Room and their winning design SUPERBLOOM. The design brief asked designers to create a lighting system that would not only incorporate new lighting technology but also provide shade and have enough room for text on each pole.
