The museum remained open to the public during the renovation, forcing the team to coordinate the project without disturbing visitors.

The team, led by h2o architectes removed past additions that were clogging up the main space of the museum's entrance hall an other public areas. This gave the institution a more fluid circulatory experience and provided a design with more flexibility.

The result is a more expansive environment that allows ample natural light to wash through the space for visitors and staff throughout the day.
