<p>The newly-created role calls for an individual who will be a “resourceful multitasker, curious innovator, and creative designer, with proven ability to lead ambitious projects and hold strong client relationships,” according to the job ad. Responsibilities will include managing projects that rethink public, communal, and cultural spaces, and providing creative direction for external architects and designers.</p>

Every year, the Foundation honors the international influence and significant cultural contribution in the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanitarian work carried out by individuals, institutions, or groups of either one.</p></em><br /><br /><p>Gehry will receive the first of the eight awards, which will soon be announced and given in the fields including Social Sciences, Communications, and Technical Scientific Research, to name a few.</p><p>Since its establishment in 1981, the Prince of Asturias Awards are endowed with 50,000 Euros each, a commissioned sculpture donated by Joan Miró, a diploma, and an insignia. This 34,000-square-foot regional health facility located in an under-served neighborhood in southwest Atlanta combines under one roof a primary care clinic, a behavioral health clinic, childcare facilities, a dental clinic and a workforce community center. In doing so, it projects a holistic idea of wellness and a positive self-image for a challenged community. The building is also meant as a catalyst for future growth in the area.</p>
<p>
The intention was to create a structure that feels vibrant and alive. The roof was conceived as a dynamic, protective element, a metaphoric blanket, opening upward to welcome in the public. A standing-seam “clamp” folds over the roof to house mechanical equipment, identify major entries and serve as a beacon. Inside, a decentralized, double-height circulation lobby further integrates all the programmatic components.</p>
