When architects design buildings there are parameters that must be met in order to meet standard building codes. With the passing of the <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/618663/american-with-disabilities-act" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Americans with Disability Act</a>, building regulations were placed to ensure that the design process included these "check off items".
