10 Design completes integration with SB Architects

10 Design and SB Architects have announced their completed integration as part of both firms' inclusion in Egis' Architecture Line, which operates 20 studios worldwide.

The integration took a reported 18 months to complete after first being announced in July of 2022, and the firm will operate as 10SB in the Americas market in the interim. 10 Design’s global brand will leverage both its expertise in mixed-use projects alongside SB’s deep hospitality portfolio for a better synergistic and cohesive offer.

NEOM debuts new Epicon coastal resort and hotel concept

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project has announced another new coastal resort concept located on the country’s Gulf of Aqaba.

The new Epicon destination follows last month’s announcement of Leyja, another hospitality project in the region. It will become the sixth development in NEOM’s portfolio, which includes the Trojena and Sindalah ski and yacht resorts, Oxagon industrial/residential tract, and the controversial 'zero-gravity urbanism' showcase THE LINE megacity.

Two towers totaling 225 and 275 meters in height (738 and 902 feet, respectively) are included in Epicon's hotel concept, along with a distant resort and a string of luxury beach villas that are cast along the shoreline — the hotel buildings appearing as though a desert mirage.

10 Design reveals plan to revitalize downtown Raleigh

North Carolina’s Research Triangle is getting a major upgrade thanks to a massive new billion-dollar mixed-use development unveiled this week by 10 Design.

The firm is behind the new Downtown South Raleigh Master Plan which includes a 20,000-capacity football stadium and virtual reality center, aiming to enhance the city’s startup-laden downtown south end.

Per the architect: “Connectivity is at the core of the scheme. 10 Design has ensured seamless accessibility from Downtown Raleigh through the creation of a bridge loop that encloses the entire development, providing efficient circulation from in and out of the site and with the rest of the city. The scheme will be a positive connection to Raleigh’s extensive greenways system and local historic neighborhoods.”

Construction update: Zhongxun Times by 10 Design in Chongqing

Construction has been underway for 10 Design's Zhongxun Times in recent months in the historic city of Chongqing, China. Commissioned by the ZhongXun Group, the mixed-use office and retail development is phase one of the Danzishi Central Business District, which 10 Design masterplanned.

Corporate investors NVC-Lighting Chongqing, Energy Investment Real Estate, Sinosteel Investment Group, and ZhongXun Group developed the 14-plot scheme of the Danzishi CBD seeking economic enhancement for Chongqing -- China's largest municipality.

Zhongxun Times is expected to be complete by spring 2015.
