Watch this time-lapse construction video of Herzog + de Meuron's Jenga-like 56 Leonard in NYC

With a series of jutting balconies and abrupt offsets, the Herzog + De Meuron-designed 56 Leonard, described by the architects as "houses stacked in the sky," is one of the more aesthetically adventuresome luxury condo towers to rise in New York City. This time-lapse video, replete with what the developers apparently feel is an inspiring musical soundtrack, shows the construction of the Jenga-like building over a period of a little under two years, from March 2014 to December 2016:

SANAA's "River" community center emerges from the grounds of the New Canaan-based Grace Farms in less than a minute and a half in this time-lapse video by Work Cam Zone. The video captures the meandering structure transforming along with its open landscape, starting from September 2013 to October 2015, when it opened to the public with a slew of festive events.

Stunning time-lapse video of Los Angeles at night that recently made it on the 2012 Vimeo Awards shortlist in the category 'Lyrical'.

I sought out to capture the electric radiance of Los Angeles at night and paint a portrait of my city.

It took me 6 months of on and off shooting to finish this project.

Shooting time lapses is a labor of love and a study in patience.

This video is dedicated to the memory of my Grandmother. She spent most of her life bettering the lives of others and was exemplary of what humanity can be in its purest form.
